MISSION

Advise the Principal on educational matters

PURSPOSE

The OAHS SAC will develop, promote, and maintain collaborative communication partnerships with our school community stakeholders, to advance student emotional, social and academic growth.

GOALS

1. Improve OAHS's school/academic environment.
2. Provide healthier meals choices and at more reasonable time periods.
3. Improve overall communication between the students, school professionals, parents, and the command.

OBJECTIVES

• Improve academic testing environments.
• Improve the a la carte menu to provide healthier choices while meeting nutritional needs at reasonable times.
• Promote student development through partnerships that foster open communication between the students, parents, and school professionals.
• Address parent, student, and community concerns and solve problems to achieve desired changes.
• Provide crossing guards to protect walking students during the periods of construction.
• Provide shuttle busses from designated parking areas for school events to facilitate family participation.  

The SAC Committee has set quarterly meetings, with the ability to call more meetings when necessary. Meetings are held at 4pm in the OAHS Media Center and are open to all.

Parents should feel free to contact any SAC member to discuss issues they would like reviewed by the SAC. The OAHS office will provide contact information. Also, a suggestion box is available in the OAHS office for anyone who does not feel comfortable contacting a SAC member directly.
