Immunization Requirements
  • Immunization shots are given at the Osan base clinic or any clinics on base.

  • Students who enroll in DoD Dependents Schools must meet specific immunization requirements:
IMMUNIZATION MINIMUM DoD REQUIREMENT
Hepatitis B 3 doses of Hepatitis B are required.
DPT 4 doses given singly or in combination, at least one of which was administered after the 4th birthday.
Td Booster Tetanus booster needed between 11-12 years of age or 5 years after the 4th dose and then every 10 years thereafter.
Hepatitis A 2 doses. HepA is recommended for all children at 1 year of age and the 2 doses in the series should be administered at least 6 months apart.
MMR 2 doses of live attenuated vaccine given singly or in combination at least one of which was administered after the 4th bs irthday.
Varicella All unvaccinated students who lack a reliable history of chickenpox should be vaccinated. Students 13 years or older should receive 2 doses at least one month apart if not previously vaccinated or did not have chickenpox.
Polio 3 doses of Polio vaccine (OPV or IPV), the last one which must have been administered after the 4th birthday.
PPD/IPPD All students attending DoDEA schools in Korea will be tested yearly for tuberculosis.
Meningococcal (MCV4) should be given to all children at the 11-12 year old .

***Parents must bring a copy of student's shot record at the time of registration! Students not meetin DoDEA immunization criteria will not be able to start school until all requirements are met.
